Bishop Odetoyinbo lays Church, rectory foundation at Ojodu-Abiodun

Bishop Peter Odetoyinbo, recently laid the foundation of the new church building and rectory of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ojodu-Abiodun; an outstation of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Alagbole.

The ceremony that was presided over by the Diocesan Bishop also had in attendance the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Oriyomi, the Dean of Agbado Deanery, Very Rev. Fr. Francis Diyaolu, Rev. Fr. Gilbert Fagbemi, Rev. Fr. David Akala, Rev. Fr. Michael Ogbitebu, Rev. Fr. Martin Okeke the Parish Priest of St. JohnBosco, Alagbole, and his Assistant, Rev. Fr. Raphael Enitan.

The Bishop in his homily congratulated the Parish Priest and his Assistant, for making themselves available to the service of God and humanity in the community by ensuring that the Kingdom of God grows among the people of Ojodu Abiodun and for making the people to see the need to build for God.

In the same vein, he congratulated the faithful of the parish for their tremendous efforts in taking such a bold step in building for the Lord.

The Bishop, therefore, admonished the faithful of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ojodu Abiodun, to see the building project as a collective responsibility carried out for God, so that everyone will contribute no matter how small to the project and their contribution will be duely acknowledged in the Christian community.  

He assured them that the one who builds for the Lord does not go unrewarded.
