The joy of the Catholic faithful of Alako-Gbooro, along Ayerose road, in Abeokuta knew no bounds, as Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Olukayode Odetoyinbo on Sunday, 16^th February, 2025 inaugurated St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Alako-Gbooro; an outstation of St. Anne Catholic Church, Ibara, Abeokuta.

The inaugural Mass, which was concelebrated by the Parish Priest of St. Anne Catholic Church, Ibara, Rev. Fr. Paul Ijileke, was witnessed by Olu of Siun, Oba Lawrence Adisa Odeyinka, members of the Catholic Women Organization of Nigeria, Catholic Men Organization of Nigeria, Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria and HCA of Ibara.

In his homily, Bishop Odetoyinbo charged the faithful to seek the way of the God in all they do, stressing that He is ever ready to bless them.

He enjoined them never to trust any man for their needs, but that they should trust in God for their needs, stressing that He is the only one that can never disappoint them.

He said, "don't trust any man for your needs. Trust God at all times, because He knows, sees everything about you. He will never disappoint you, but man will mislead you. Hold firm unto God."
