Bishop Odetoyinbo inaugurates new board members for Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro

The Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Olukayode Odetoyinbo has inaugurated new board members for the Sacred Heart Hospital,Lantoro, Abeokuta, following the expiration of the tenure of the former members of the board, led by Chief Francis Sotunde.

 The prelate appreciated the efforts of the former board members towards improving the standard of the first hospital in Nigeria, with the various innovative ideas that have positively impacted service delivery and proper management of the hospital. The Chief Shepherd said though, it was not easy, but with t the deployment of experience in their various fields, they have being able to move the hospital forward from where they met it in 2014 when they came on board.

Speaking on behalf of the former board members, the immediate past Chairman of the board, Chief Francis Sotunde appreciated the Bishop for giving them the opportunity to serve the diocese, saying that “initially it appeared like a difficult task, but with God, determination, and dedication of the members, they were able to put in their best.

Chief Sotunde also appreciated all members that worked with him for their unflinching support and cooperation because they all worked as brothers and sisters which he said resulted to the success recorded thus far.

The new board members included: Mr. Martin GbengaFamoriyo , who will serve as the Chairman. Others are Barrister Peter AdedayoAdesemowo, Mr. Eugene Eguwatu, KSM, Princess Catherine AdebisiSoboyejo, Mrs. Irene FolashadeAdesina, Professor  Jacob GokeBodunde, Dr. Joseph EnadiakheOmorowa, Mr. Simeon Eze, Rev. Fr. Simeon Akinyemi, the Hospital Administrator and Rev. Sr. Roseleen da Silva, the Hospital Matron.
