Sacred Heart Hospital November birthday celebrants visit S.H Orphanage Home
The celebration of birthday is usually a moment of joy which affords one the opportunity to celebrate God for His faithfulness and the generosity of life.
It was in line with this reality that some members of staff of the Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta who were born in the month of November gathered to celebrate their birthday but this time in a rather unique manner.
The celebrants had attended the Holy Mass at the Hospital Chapel, celebrated by the Hospital Administrator, Rev. Fr. Simeon Akinyemi.
In his homily, the man of God charged them to emulate the life of St. Andrew whose feast was celebrated that day. He said, St. Andrew was the person that provided the fishes and bread that was blessed to feed the multitude that were with Jesus, stressing that they too should be positive in their lives anywhere they find themselves.
After the Mass, the celebrants moved to the Sacred Heart Orphanage Home to identify and celebrate with the children of the Orphanage Home.
The celebrants also used the opportunity to present some gifts to the orphans. One of the celebrants, Rev. Sr. Queen Edoche, OLA noted that other members of staff in the hospital had been celebrating their birthdays but they chose to celebrate theirs in a unique way by going to the orphanage saying they will try to do more next year.
